Thanksgiving Festivities!

We had a marvelous Thanksgiving! So much to be thankful for! Mike started off the morning with preparing the turkey and then putting it in the oven. After that we headed out for a turkey bowl in the snow! We had a pretty good turn out. When we got home Mike put up the Christmas lights and I got the pies ready. A friend from the ward and I planned a big turkey dinner! There were about 25 people there (5 couples from the ward and some other Pullman residents). We rented out a recreation room at one of the on-campus housing complexes. Everyone brought food and it was tons of fun. We might have eaten a little too much though ;) The next day Mike and I went to the temple with our friends, the Merkley's. After that we went to the Christmas tree lighting at the Coeur d'Alene Resort. Mike and I went last year too and we just love going there. There was a huge fireworks show and then they lit the tree and some other lights on the docks. It's fun to see fireworks when its cold outside (because normally its summer time). Right before they lit everything up Mike tapped me on the shoulder to tell me something and when I turned back around they were alreay on! Oh well! Afterwards we went inside and had some hot chocolate by the fire. Today us and a group of friends got some pizza and watched the blue cougs defeat Uof U! GO BYU!

We had an awesome week!

Mike preparing the bird (I got dragged out of bed to take this pic).
The snow football gang.

Mike showing off his skills.
Rachel did pretty well in the cold.

After the game.

Go long Mike!

He didn't let me fall in the snow.

The Hanks.

My first apple pie (made with apples from the organic farm!)

One nice looking turkey.

Mmmmm.

So many pies!

We went to the Christensen's for games after dinner and I was going to bring these pies but there were so many that I didn't need too so I baked them before we went to bed.

Fireworks to Manheim Steamroller...probably the coolest thing ever. Since we were right next to the speakers the sound is kinda bad.

Us and the Merkley's.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!

The tree at the Coeur d'Alene Resort. Good Morning America will be filming from CDA on Wednesday morning. It will be broadcast at 7am if you are awake and want to check it out! I begged Mike to take me out there at 3am but he passed.

Holly set her camera on the trash can to take this pic! It came out great!
