We have been blessed every Easter weekend that we have lived here with great weather. Our friend in the ward does an unofficial ward party Easter egg hunt. Its so great for the kids (we've heard that the community hunt is quite the frenzy)!
We walked down to the park where it was held. Here are the cuties getting ready. Cheese ball.
Care was so good at putting the eggs in her basket! The kids only get 10 eggs and our girls literally broke into all of their eggs and ate all of the candy before we even left the park. Caroline went up to every basket that she found on the ground and tried to break into other kids eggs! After the exhausting task of trying to keep her away, I decided that kids shouldn't leave their baskets on the ground ha. You go, Caroline.
I made the girls Easter dresses again this year (using this tutorial) so I really wanted to get some good pictures. I think I was forgetting that I have two extremely active children. Here's how the pics went down.
Love this one.
"Hold my hand, sis."
Saturday night we dyed eggs.
I see you.
Mike snapped a few Rose pics on Sunday morning.
Our neighborhood does an egg hunt on Sunday morning. I was going to all it a "little" egg hunt but that is by no means the proper adjective. Its insane. Some of the eggs were filled with scratch tickets and $5 bills. Craziness. This is all of the kids before opening their eggs.
And the lovely mess after. Its great to get together with the neighbors, especially after our long hibernation. We are afraid that the extremeness of the hunt takes away from the real meaning we celebrate Easter though!
The gang.
Sunday evening we went for a walk and Mike snapped this amazing picture of the girls and I holding hands. I love it.
We finished the night off eating this delicious orange bundt cake!
We hope you all had a wonderful time celebrating the Resurrection of Jesus Christ!

You are amazing at the dresses...they are darling. I also loved the girls holding hands pic. You are hair is so long and beautiful! Hope you are well. The girls still talk about your visit, in fact just yesterday they said something about when Rosy came...oh and every doll they have is named Rose!
I am so jealous of the girls home made dresses. Very sweet picture and what a awesome egg hunt.
