Crawdad Fest!

Mike and our friend Chad wanted to have a follow up to "Chillooza Fest 2006" so they decided on "Crawdad Fest 2007." Since Milo and Hayley live out in the middle of no where with lots of land we decided to have it out at their house. Mike and some other guys went to catch the crawdads, but they weren't able to catch as many crawdads as the first time they went. This time it took two trips but they ended up getting enough, and the party was great.

This is the gear they used to catch the crawdads, the cages weren't very effective in catching them, and almost all the crawdads were just caught in buckets with sticks and other devices used to lure them into the buckets.

We put raw chicken meat in the cages, but the crawdads didn't like them, maybe if they were fried they would have worked better ;)


Looking for crawdads in the river. This was the first spot of the day, pretty unsuccessful, so they moved on up the river.
