Mike's Parent's Visit

The weekend before school started Mike's parent's came to visit on their way to Montana. We were so excited for them to see Pullman because there is nothing like it! This region of the US is called the Palouse, known for its rolling hills. Unfortunately, they came the week after harvest so the wheat was already cut but the golden color of the fields was still pretty. We stayed around Pullman and Moscow for the first two days then ventured out to a cabin in Sandpoint. We went to the Lentil Festival and ate lentil chili out of a huge pot...mmmmmm. Mike and his dad went golfing near Cour'de Alene and then from there we made our way to the cabin. It was about 15 minutes outside of the town of Sandpoint. The trees were gorgeous out there. It rained on the Sunday we were there so we stayed inside for most of the day. We also made our way up to Schweitzer Mountain. On our way back to Pullman we stopped at the Cour'de Alene resort to walk around. We were so glad for Greg and Diane to visit and we had a blast!

At the Lentil Festival. Pullman is the Lentil captial of the world.

On top of the library.

O Palouse. Pics from on top of Steptoe Butte.

Looking out from Schweitzer Mountain.

Hanging out in the cabin.

In the picture from Mike's dad's camera you couldn't see my hands but this one is still funny.

The driveway.

The cabin.

I might have to make a trip back to Sandpoint to buy this for my kids someday.
