Time to Celebrate...2 days of good times!

SO as many of you know Mike and my bdays are only a day a part, May 7th and May 8th. We had a lot of fun celebrating even with the bad weather. I have been working on making a picnic blanket for Mike since Feburary...not thinking that the weather would be bad so our picnic was an indoor one :) I picked up Mike from his office and drove him around a bit so he wouldn't know that we were just going home (he was blind folded). I had him fooled until he stepped on a pile of leaves by our front door!! I knew I should have swept! It was a fun indoor picnic followed by a much needed long nap :)

The final product...I am not making a quilt this big for a long time!! Thanks to my mom, anut and most importantly MERRY HOLMES for all of the help with the quilt. There is no way I could have finished this on my own.

Last year we had our bday party on Mike's bday so this year it was my turn. Here is a pic before everyone got there. Don't be fooled by the sun...it was not that hot.
I didn't feel like making a cake this year so I went with cupcakes! They were soo good.

May is a big birthday month amongst our friends!!! May 7th- Mike, May 8th- Me and Scott, May 9th- Tracy and Bryan. I love this pic! This is when everyone was singing "Happy Birthday Bryan, Scott, Jen, Mike, and Tracy...."

Jen and Karlye stopped by at the end but it was cold so we cleaned up while we were chatting.
