Last weekend we drove to Vermont to check out the changing colors of the trees. It is hard to capture their beauty in a picture but we tried.
A cool one lane bridge.
There are so many old churches out here. This is an awesome pic Mike took. This picture is for Brian Rupp. "May the Forest be with you." Vermont doesn't have any big cities but it has tons of little towns with cute little churches. Our favorite part of the trip was visiting the Birthplace of Joseph Smith. For all of the Pullman people...this picture was taken by relatives of President Skinner...well I think they were a niece and nephew of his mother-in-law Sister Limburg. The "Hearth Stone" where Joseph was kept warm as a baby. This is where President Hinckley sat at Joseph's 200th birthday broadcast. It was very cool to walk around the grounds and feel the spirit of this place. Joseph and his family moved from Vermont when he was 10 and when the monument was built in 1905 people still had angry feelings towards him! It was a huge testimony builder and definitely worth the trip!
Wow! I love the trees, Fall is my favorite time of the year! I hope someday we can go to all the important places in church history, you are one lucky girl!
