The Best Day Ever and Birthdays of July

Is it really August? The last 6 weeks of rain have proved otherwise.

One day a couple of weekends ago, we wanted to go swimming with Paul and Joni. SO we found a lake that looked amazing but it ended up be a "Members Only" lake. So Mike being the guy that he is, befriended a local resident named Sarah. Well Sarah turned out to be pretty awesome because she let us be her "guests" at the beach and park in front of her house! Go Sarah! It ended up being one of those amazing summer days...like a high school summer kind of day...no responsibilities, no concept of time, nothing but good times with friends. We spent the afternoon hanging out on the floating dock of lake and ended the day with some good old fashioned Texas Road House.

Joni got some sweet pics. I love her camera (Mike take note, Christmas will be here before you know it).

Two of my good friends, Joni and Kimi, had b-days this month! These are some pics in reverse order of their Birthday Breakfast hosted by Brooke, Janae, and myself.

The Birthday Girls.
The feast of fruit, blueberry muffins, quiche, and cinnamon rolls....mmmmmm.
My Martha Stewart pom-poms.

This is Joni's surprise b-day feast (also in reverse order). The cake...lemon cake with white frosting, powered doughnuts, and candy corn. When Paul went to buy the candles they were out of 8's...Joni is not 262 years old.
The theme of the party was all of Joni's favorite foods AND leave your spouse at home unless your last name is Barnes or Moore. Just kidding. Janae, Keith, and Jake all happened to be out of town so Brooke, Rick, and Kimi (not pictured) came solo. And that is IBC Root Beer ;)
The meal of choice...Fried Chicken, Pizza, and Edamame.
The Birthday Girl and her hubs.

Dear Paul and Joni,
Please don't move.
Love,
Jen and Mike

hahaha, thanks for the invitation to stay. That was a great day, come to think of it we've had lots of those days lately. Thanks for letting us share all the good times with you guys. I think now that we are comfortable enough to "sweat" at the dinner table together then we all need to be friends for life, just have to be further down the road that we hang again...

I'm not suprised about it, but I'm totally crying right now. This has been one of my favorite summers EVER.
"Well I guess we'll just have to gossip about Alfredo."
"Who's that??"

Jen, now you know how we feel!! We didn't want you guys to go either. So our offer still stands. Tell Mike to be looking for jobs in SE Idaho. I'm telling you BYU-I would be a perfect job for him and we can live in Rigby and be neighbors!!
