Easter

We had a few days of straight sunshine this past weekend and it was glorious! Saturday morning we walked to our ward Easter egg hunt at the park and then hung out for a few hours after basking in the sun.
Rose kinda got the idea of picking up the eggs but once she found out there was candy in them, she was happy just to sit down and start eating.

While Mike and I were in the kitchen, I saw this happening out of the corner of my eye. Rose just learned how to climb up on this couch which means the baby is no longer safe there but this was pretty sweet!
This picture makes us laugh. Mike is giving Rose some serious directions and it looks like she was pretty intent on listening. Not sure if you can see the clock in the background but I'm pretty sure it was past bedtime. Rose was a trooper though and was happy to decorate a few eggs.

Sunday morning our alleyway does a huge easter egg hunt! Every house puts some out and the kids go from yard to yard. Everyone was sooo sweet to little Rose. Kids kept putting eggs in her bucket.
It was pretty much over flowing.
After the busy morning, Rose was tuckered out after church. I LOVE it when she falls asleep clutching her snacks. Last week Mike said she had a ritz cracker in each hand.
Holy sweetness. I love this picture.

We attempted a little backyard photo shoot. It was windy and Rose's 10 minute nap in the car was not quite enough for her to want to cooperate but here's some of what we got.
I sacrificed nap time 2 days in a row to sew these outfits for the girls.

We tried to bribe Rose with some jelly beans (starburst jelly beans, nonetheless) but she didn't live up to her end of the bargain.

"Airplane! Airplane!"

Caroline did great ;)

We hope you all had a nice Easter! We enjoyed refueling on sunshine but are now all back on our Vitamin D supplements. 39 days til Palm Springs!

I told Katelynn and Ty I would take their candy away if they didn't take good picts. well, we didn't end up with good picts and they have their candy. Something went wrong there.
I love the girls outfits. So impressed!

Nothing like a new baby to make Rose look like a big girl. They are both so darling!
