Pictures and Updates

Remember this picture of Rose and I?
Here's one with Caroline!  Its funny that I sleep with my hands under my face like that ha.
This girl has got big cheeks!  Its funny how similar yet different the girls are!  Their faces look almost exactly the same but their bodies are pretty much opposite!  Rose is (and was as a baby) short and "compact" as I like to call her.  Caroline, on the other hand, is long and skinny!  I wonder if that will last...
Rose likes to share her stickers with Caroline...funny place for a sticker though ;)
On Saturday it was sunny again (thank the heavens!) so we met up with some friends at a BYU baseball game in Bellevue.
Rose had a little bit of an incident with her diaper so she ended up spending the rest of the afternoon without pants on.  She had plenty of fun running around the bases with her wheat thins though.
After the game we headed to the temple to walk around the grounds.  Is it totally tacky that Rose was just wearing her diaper?  Yes, it was so I'm not posting any pictures of it.

Caroline smiling!
This morning I caught Caroline sucking on her fingers during tummy time!  I secretly want her to be a finger sucker so I don't have to worry about bringing a pacifier everywhere...or get up every so often in the night to give it back to her!

I have a friend who started doing monthly updates of her family which I think is so fun!  I'm not sure that I'll do it monthly but here's some updates on us:

Jen: Surviving as a mother of 2.  Had my 6 week post-partum check up yesterday!  Crazy that it went to fast.  Currently reading this book.  Into sewing clothes for the girls at the moment although nap time is overruling the desire.  Dreaming of owning a serger someday.  Dreading turning 26 in a few weeks (that rounds up to 30 eeek!)

Mike: Loving his job.  Wishing he could get more work done but he's got a crazy wife who loves to have him home :)  Currently reading this book.  Very interested in reviving our horrific dead grass in the front yard!  Also hoping to finish up our downstairs bathroom project that we started many moons ago.  Disappointed in the Angels season thus far.

Rose: Eats a whole orange for lunch every day (we're talking a real orange, she's moved on from the "cuties").  Has slept in until 9:30am two days this week and 8:30am the other two (I LOVE YOU ROSE ;)).  Obsessed with Elmo.  Saying hilarious things.  Here's a list of a few:
-every time the ice machine lets down ice she asks "daddy?"
-while holding her play phone up to her ear "hi emery. blah blah blah." (Emery is her BFF).
-hands me her jacket and says "Go? Emery?"
-standing on the bench looking out the window yelling "bye bye, daddy. nummy nummy nummy!"
-I asked her what she likes to do in her tent that we have set up in the dining room "Play, daddy."
-anytime we pull into an underground parking garage "Emery?" (You have to park underground at Emery's house.
-when I got her out of bed yesterday she said these four things in this order "Diaper? Baby? Elmo? Go?"
-when Mike got her out of bed this morning she said "Mommy? Baby? Elmo?"
-while in the shower the other day, Caroline was napping in her crib where I couldn't hear her and Rose comes running into the bathroom saying "Uh oh. Baby. Wah."

Caroline:  Smiling. Enjoys eating every two hours.  Will not take a bottle, although we are trying (come on girl!  Mama wants to go see Hunger Games!).  Recently diagnosed with acid reflux (like her sister).  We took her to an occupational therapist and got her a wedge for her crib.  Its ginormus and resembles a straight jacket but has allowed for three heavenly nights of 4 hour and 3 hour stretches of sleep for mommy.

Looking forward to another sunny Saturday tomorrow!

Hey Jen, thanks for your book recommendation on our blog. I hadn't heard of it, but it's on my book list now. What area do you guys live in? We have some friends moving that way in a month or so. I liked your update on everyone. That's fun.:)

I wonders what Emery did to Rose to have such an impact on her. I love it. BFF's!
