In Wyoming, we went to visit our dear friends, the Andrus'. They live in beautiful Star Valley, a place that I may or may not consider the middle of nowhere. It was beautiful! It was a girl party. We had a group of close friends in Pullman and not one of us has yet to produce a boy. 14 girls and 1 on the way. Craziness.
They live close to the Teton National Park so we went and had a little picnic and went on a hike.
We ate in front of one of the barns on Mormon Row. It was beautiful but there had been a few fires in UT, ID, and WY at the time so it was pretty hazy. It was a little disappointed because our views weren't as pretty as they could have been but it was still amazing. They live close to the Teton National Park so we went and had a little picnic and went on a hike.
Milo and the girls checking something out.
Eva took this picture of Hayley and I.
The gang.
See what I mean about the haze?
We brought the wrong camera lens on our hike so we couldn't get a wider view of the lake but it was amazing. The girls all dipped there feet in and we were the only ones there! Bonus.
That night we walked around in Jackson (which is rad by the way). I wanted to crop Milo out of this picture but Mike said I had to keep it because it looked better with a real cowboy in it. I actually didn't feel like a tourist at all with Milo around ha.
Milo and Hayley have 2 horses (or ponies? whatever) named Cinnamon and Iceman that we got to ride on. I took Eva on a walk with the horse and I think she could tell that I was freaking out a little bit and she looked at me and said "Why don't you know about horses?" It was pretty awesome. I tried to explain to her that I live in a city but I think she was still in shock that I didn't know what I was doing.
My first time on a horse! Pretty cool. Mike loved that I was wearing my boating shoes while riding a horse.
Mike told me not to post this but I had to. This is him and 2 year old Mattie being pulled by Milo.
I also got to shoot a gun! (Isn't Wyoming awesome?) Hayley let me wear here boots with the spurs to make me feel even more legit.
I hate to say this in front of everyone else but I think that WY was my favorite part of the trip. It was so great to be back with our good friends and be a part of their little country life for a few days. We had a good laugh because I kept telling Hayley "I can't imagine living like this!" (Respectfully, of course). It was such a great couple of days. Eva, Susie May, and Mattie are some of the cutest, sweetest little girls around. We miss you Andrus fam!
From their house, we headed to Yellowstone! I had never been there before. It was awesome.
At one point we saw a buffalo poop and Rose is still talking about it. What is she a 4 year old boy? This is what she says "Member? Buffalo poop?" Its quite funny.
If Caroline was just a little bit more the the left you'd being seeing this pic on our Christmas cards.
Sisters on a tiny hike.
Ah, yes. We waited for Old Faithful. It was starting to rain, get cold, and I was hungry. That combo doesn't make for the most pleasant Old Faithful trip but I can say I've done it now.

OH! One of the highlights of the trip...watching Milo stitch up a dog (he's a vet) on the bed of a truck! I was so happy that I got to witness this little house call in action. Country living at its finest.
Sweet gun shot.
Buffalos crossing in front of the car.

All these fun pics make me want to go on a road trip! The "see what I mean about the haze" one is a great shot! Looks like such a great time. Next year head east, ok? Miss you guys!

Looks like so much fun. I totally forgot your connection to Hayley but was quickly reminded:).
You had more of a Wyoming experience than I've had since we moved here! Sidney has been asking to ride a horse for months. And "I can't imagine living like this!" is what I feel like every day. I'm sort of in denial :) Looks like a super fun trip! I'm jealous you saw buffalo in Yellowstone.
